COCOON

Cocoon Rideshare App

Cocoon is a mobile app that helps parents schedule rides for children who participate in after school activities.

Through the app, parents can see activity calendars, join teams or groups, and schedule rides for their kids with parents they already trust and know. Designing Cocoon presented the challenge of creating an experience that was fun and friendly, but also maintaining the feeling of safety and security.

Branding

I helped create a clean logo mark that conveyed trust through the blue and represented a stork bag while also symbolizing locations.

App Design

Problem:

Solution:

Our team’s Product Owners conducted user interviews with parents and coaches. This gave us insight into their greatest pain points and which features mattered to them the most. Parents expressed frustration with existing systems that were not effective or easy to use.

This left many parents stuck, struggling to find rides at the last minute, and paying their older kids or college students for rides. At the moment, there is no single website or app that effectively allows parents to track event schedules and coordinate rides.

We designed the app to be easy to use while addressing many of the needs of safety and reliability. The app is still in beta testing.
